The storms and silences
that lie
in between the differences
between you and I
captivate us
and forever hold us apart
they laugh at us
to them it's an art
to keep us from truly
knowing each other.
The weakness in our true love
and our hope that cries
form a small light in the darkness
that pierces the sky
It allways deceives us
and renders us blind
rejuvinates us
yet demands us to start
believing in any light
that shines on us
long enough to show us the part
of ourselves
that would forsake another.
