Searching for someone
all my life
in sickness in health
in toil and strife
wanting not only a body to hold
but a chance to delve
into a lovers soul.
In my aching and longing
I've let them unfold
my heart just to catch
all their sorrow and pain it could hold
Yet not one of them
has ever sought to touch
that part of me
that could mean so much
to the world.

Sounds like the story of MY life..and it's STILL unfolding in such a manner..when WILL I change the scenario!
This has left me pondering ..
exceptional poem Pierre..just exceptional!
You are a wordsmith indeed not to mention a soul that is evolving at the speed of light!
This world is an adventure. Each adventure is different for each individual so not everyone finds that person who has the same mindset, to travel with down this road. When we do...we are truly blessed and feel enpowered to conquer our dreams. It is so much better to tackle an adventure when you have someone to share it with. Your words are part of your adventure and here's hoping you find that specul someone to quest your hopes upon one day.

I too feel like this poem Pierre thank you for putting into words my expressed heart feelings on life. I feel each of us has a very special other and till we find that one person nothing will ever compare to being truly accepted or loved in this life time. This is beautiful well expressed and penned but then I always find your work to be this true to form.
