Somewhere
in the undergrowth of silence
cries the essence
of all those words unsaid
words that can't be guarded
words that can't be lead.
somewhere
in the underbelly of love
grow the seeds of ill fate
of war and death and violence
seeds that can't be aborted
seeds that give birth to hate.
somewhere
in the eyes of those still innocent
shines a light of good
strong enough to pierce
the very meaning of our souls
to touch the pure joy and happiness
that has the power to save us.
The meaning of our souls...yes! The young ones, especially those of our own blood, give us life, new horizons not there before and love. We become more protective and we smile from within. A child gives us birth in many ways.
