Peace

Love
by our own hearts is bound
in our selfishness is found
lost and wanting.

Joy
knows it's memory It's part and sound
that in our lonliness abounds
crossed and taunting.

Fate
sneaks up on our souls just as we turn around
sinister and haunting.

Hope
seeks only hallowed safe and sacred ground
intrepid and undaunting.

Peace
lives only in true hearts that pound
to the beat of the good that resounds
in spite of the hate evil's flaunting.

Excellent poem, Your have talent to write poems that whisper the reader a message in a different way...In other words, your poem is not plain or simple at all. It is vivid and paints a picture in the readers mind. Beautiful message of ))) PEACE (((

You're correct...hate does flaunt us for the evul it is. I can't, for the life of me, understand evil and why people are possessed so completely by it when love is healthy, energetic and jusr damned good for all of us. To love totally with compassion and allow it unsselfish reign is exactly the bounty of living. Otherwise...what's the point. You wrapped it all up in a nutshell.
