The Sands Of Memories

Wind across the desert
minds not the norm
Gentle wind through my soul
signals the calm before the storm.

The sands of memories become airborne along with the dust
of worn out feelings they pierce my heart and try to tear down the rust.

The weathered pieces
of other lives I no longer need to live
that still resound in my mind
and beg me to give.
