Lost in the crowds
of voices
buried in the cries
of their words
You found me.

Worn and weathered
like so many pages
of a sad story
in a book
drenched in rain
long lost and stained
and left to ruin.

Thousands of souls have read me
but you knew me
you led me
into the light
You set out
to set me right.

Within the shelter
of your love
you held my tattered heart
high above your lonely part
away from all my pain
in a place that I could claim.

Into your world
you beg me
into the warm and dry
to know my love that's true
the joy and calm of me that is you.
