The world looks much different
Through the eyes of the homeless......
I see the madness
all around
on the lonely streets
from my hiding places
in this town
I walk alone
the crowded avenues of day
and empty boulevards of night
I speak and faces
stare back at me in silence
Life has trapped me in the weather
and forbade me to complain
on my wandering soul
my loved ones have left their stains
I call to the wind
please be my blanket
I cry to the stars
please be my light
I beg to the streets
bring me someone to lean on
I pray to the rain
save me from the night.

mmm. .a kindred..
i often wonder what keeps some of the homeless going? moving and breathing and hoping...HOPING. ..i had a friend Edward who was homeless for nearly 16 years. . he was proof of God for me.
i see you have such beautiful and open eyes...most refuse to see beauty in any kind of breaking, refuse to see that there but for the grace of God goes us all. ..
for you to be able to not only see 'them' but to try and feel your way around them, know them, SEE them beyond their existence. ..
i amdire that strength and that vision; that soul. ..
beautifully wrenching and stilling write
i shall endeavour to read more of you~

This is a painful plea Pierre. I know the feeling of this lonliness. It was my fault for not being open to change. It's all around you. In your poem your loved ones are as far away as your mind puts them. Don't be afraid. make everyday a positive day in getting to where you want to be.
Love,
Susan
