This is a poem written yesterday by my daughter April.
Though the galaxy we fly
Touch each star that falls so blind.
Hanging on the end of the moon
Daring to return to the sun so soon.
Kissing your soft gentle lips
Hoping and loving till our last sips.
Singing as the colors of gas stream by
Never ever having to wonder why.
Holding one another on Pluto’s land
Keeping each other warm to fight one last stand.
Our souls racing through time
Searching and searching someday we’ll find.
Together at last Father time has spoken
Taking each breath and given a token.
Sleeping next to you and praying to never waken
For the light and the dark are ours for the taking.
Embrace me for we are one
Let’s live our lives as we have always known.
April is an awesome poet, spirit and woman. Her eyes showed me her soul when we met in Phoenix. You should always be proud of her creativity and spirit. She gets a lot of it from you. When I first read this poem I cried. I could see the colors of the gaseous clouds in space and two spirits flying free.
Love to you and April.
Susan
