the way you touch my day

we can no longer set aside
our hearts that beat inside one other
that have yearned for so long
to be together.
we can't begin to pretend
we're alright alone
The truth is we're scared,
wandering
and chilled to the bone.
and we'll be lost until
we are again made one
and crying until
we touch each other
body mind and soul.
until we share
the warmth of the sun
shining on each other's brows
until we share the force of the rain
pouring down upon us
until we know
the other sides of us
only then can we be one again.
