As I stepped to the edge of the pond of my life

I saw the reflection

of all I'd done

and all the love I'd given

was barely a speck

in the vastness of the water

that it contained.

and I cried

because I realized

if not for my hate

if not for my selfishness

the whole pond

would reflect my love.

and I witnessed visions

of what the world would be

Had my whole life reflected love.

as I looked in the mirror of my soul

I saw the reflection

of all that I am

and all the joy i've taken

filled almost all the pictures

and the images

retained

and I screamed

because I realized

this can't be me it's not my fate

I feel a oneness with everyone

it's my hunanity's bond

it's safe from evil

it comes from above.

and then I awoke

in tears

to realize

my life's not over

it was just a dream

I'm still filling

the pond of my life

with love.

Yes! To be able to see what we have found in our life and what we've done with it is a reflective moment that also gives us the chance to improve upon our lives. There's so much left to living.Just when you think you've done everything...you haven't come close.. One of your best Pierre!

Susan

I loved the connection of the reflection and reflecting on life.
How wonderful to wake and have a second chance.
Well done.
