Carole, I'll make this short 'cause I'm shivering with the cold right now.

I especially liked "frigid winter winds/sneaking beneath my clothing/capturing my warmth."

O, yeah! I've felt that. I guess that's why I'm now living in California. When I'm out early in the morning and the temp drops below 60, I'm wearing a scarf around my neck. How wimpy can ya yet?

Your delightful ku-chain casts a spell that's wonderful to read at arm's length. (Don't want to get too close or I'll start thinking of moving south. I hear Costa Rica is very nice. Great wave action for surfing, too.)

Carole, what an absolutely beautiful sextet, tribute to the icy fingers of winter!! I love them all (although winter is my least favorite season), but my favorite for its veracity is:

*frigid winter winds
sneaking beneath my clothing
capturing my warmth*

; but for its peace and beauty:

*winter icicles
lined up dripping silently
water and moonlight*

Your cold wet and heartles words are beautiful... and chilling to the bone. Winter's snow was never described better. This is proof that poetry makes the terrible warm us during bitter cold.
