Moonlight Spell
Under a blanket of moonlight
summer winds softly murmur
I whisper your name
into the darkness
wanting to be where you are
Leaning back I close my eyes
letting my mind wander
as thoughts caress my memories
My love for you plays out
in symphonic waves
that tease and tantalize
my very core
Exquisite visions of love
dance around me
gently as a lover’s fingers
They glide like satin sheets
across sensual thoughts
touching memories of passion
building and cresting
in a velvet delta
Until you return to my arms
I will wrap myself in patience

Wow, what a great set of lines; the whole poem is good, but those last two lines really set the tone for this beautiful write! Very well done, Carole; brava~
