~ Cast Upon the Winds ~

Your thoughts pouring out

 upon the paper

shifting, as if sand upon a beach

still others remain illusive

just out of reach

When inside your mind

they ebb and flow

as predictable as tides

with idea like channel markers

guiding you through

to where they hide

The words you cast upon the winds

tossed around in the past

pass through your thoughts

whispering will this be the last

As the night descends

and the winds blow in

the stars go blind

and darkness closes around you

Will the winds remember

the words you left behind

A writers words cast life to us in many forms, they only last for a while if reading but, they live on paper & in words for years. This is such a well written poem...I enjoyed every verse.
