~ When Souls Touch ~

When souls touch and merge

as oceans immersing into sand

grains forming into one

as water slips through our hands

Emotional depths are fathomless

passions swirling in tumultuous space

loosing ourselves in each other

as erotic rhythms match the oceans pace

Waves glide upon the shore

gently stroking the grains of sand

as sensual waves roll over us

caressing our curves with a slow hand

Deeply goes the sand

to the oceans very core

the depth of love we share

will outlast the sandy shore

Sand merging  with the sea

our souls, in like combine

As part of the ocean stays with the sand

traces of ourselves we leave behind

Our souls, like oceans and sand

touch, merge and see

they‘ve known each other before

and will again

through the winding paths of eternity

A sublime depicting of a reverent romantic mingling in eternity of now... Togetherness finds its meaning "When Souls Touch".

Love the last two strophes especially. This is a very dear write for one such as me who is totally, totally infatuated with the engorging and sensual love of the sea. TY for this elegant beauty. Kate xx

Two souls becoming intertwined into one is so heavenly. Soul mates for life and the joy of sharing each others love and adoration....

"...gently strocking the grains of sand..." which many a soul, dry and forgotten are in need of tender waves.
Great poem!

A beautiful poem, a delight to read, it's soothing and deeply romantic. Yes, our souls combine and part of each is left behind to become part of the other.
I think sometimes of how my husband and I (as well as other couples) have affected each other's perceptions. I would not be the person I am now if my life had not been merged with his. Well, I could go on rambling--bottom line, I truly enjoyed this.

On the surface, soul touching sounds as if it might be dangerous.
But, after flowing and rolling with your gripping words, I see that the entire process should be left to the sea gods and the gentleness of supporting sand. Beautifully done, Dear Poet, and truly memorable. - Bill
