You're scared
as the news unfolding is bleak
the pulse of the life here is weak
these answers to questions you seek

You're confused
for the answers are not forthcoming
the pain in your heart is still humming
still following that persistent drumming

You're challenged
to find joy in a vaccuum of shallow
to reap from fields that are fallow
and learn from those all too callow

You're capable
of chasing down your lost answer
eventually understanding the cancer
and finding a tune for your dancer

You're You
A mind condemned to this fight
Whose eyes see far beyond sight
one who has considerable might

You're right
In your seeking of that which is lost
till your mind and your spirit exhaust
We will bear you hence in spite of the cost

You're aware
that the pain you still feel will subside
and that you may simply need to abide
with the help of the souls by your side
