Ebon cloaked entropy
Get thee behind me!
Thou are nay esteemed
and ever a raparee

'Tis stealth always
and you come upon whence
Blighted, cadaverous
Stealing life force hence

Thy fingers drip of ice
and to embrace thee is ruin
Harry me through all days
to deliver me to swoon

Thou cannot be evaded
the bravest of us have tried
Your quota always sated
in those of us who've died

I cry to thee "Beg off!"
Seek me not, show virtue
O'erpass this bard of words
for much is there to do

Nameless spectre of avarice
cloud of fraught cessation
Get thee behind me - seek me not!
