A collaboration

I saw you and, in a minute, stopped my life
I came to terms with what that did to me far too late,
I fear your sad hold on a wasted moral compass is of dubious regard
When you unburden yourself of me, you will be wholly undone-
Be undone by which inspires the mind to defy decay
And become unsaddled by a desire to embrace
That which looks too far within the constraints of its own design
And so liberates itself from misdirection-
Misdirection from resurrection
And the entitlement that professes:
Then I will seek alone the things
I've known to be false within you
And respond only to the sullen apathy drumming in my memory
When I've unchanneled this anger.
I'm shackled to this freedom and it is crushing.
Yet, looking from within this cage of denial
The rays of the sun seem bent in some contorted spectrum
Of unproclaimed moments
Defiled by their own oblivious truth
To rekindle the very nature of their own momentum
And so by comsuming the origin of their lifeforce,
Become liberated by the impulse to escape
Into the sovereign prospects of accepting
Whatever is allowed to be revealed.
