Drawing the deep breath before the plunge

My fingers have their own sentience
they are keeping their own time
rhythmically drumming out songs
from a playlist of quickened heartbeats

My eyes scan my world passively
in random sufficience
my overmind settled on the tip of a premise
minor methodology on a grand scale

My ears involuntarily dissect the aural
chorus of static and purl
surfing waves of variable storytelling
for a trigger of lucid memory

My mind dangles nervously on whimsy
coiled and not
revelatory concepts pause and persist
as my breath pulls it to me
