Impatient time insisting on running out Gotta finish that book! The mind plays along sorting and spacing Over there! There's something... It's a pile of papers or a house of cards In either case, it's unrelated to this moment in all ways but one It shudders and so do you And then, It rises on its absent accord and becomes tethered to your mind The magic merrionnette stringless and happily implausible, waves a manic hand signalling insanity to go ahead and assume complete control "Why not?" you gesture and make for the crazy. All the while, you're certain you could write that novel if you just had enough time... Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2005
