Far in the center of me where light knows no haven I falter in epitome and my platitudes are craven My essence as a being is tangled in the quest Unblinking eye not seeing the purpose for the test The thoughts flow like stone in rivers of perception The captive motive shown in mirrors of exception Mindful and quite oblique and compelled to offer such Parcels of measured mystique that puzzle overmuch The head from when and where these tributaries trace Is riddled and threadbare seeking out a place A destination in remedy as ever and all aloof Be it somber or in levity so long as it is truth Michelle, your query posed and motivation you seek I fear I'm all red-nosed I can't turn the other cheek Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2005
