Don't go there
it is exactly what you don't want

You build this thing with blocks of guile
and marvel at the creation
and hate it
it is exactly what you fear

Happiness lies in the belly of the soul
it changes with each subtle breeze
Subversion and immersion in folly
only begets the inevitable
solidarity of being alone
it is exactly that which you eschew

I can't have all the answers
as much as I crave them
I can no more see tomorrow from here
than could I see today from yesterday
but I saunter out
and laughingly make my way
through the maze of the sameness
in an effort to persevere
it is exactly what I fail to do

Instead, I extend a battered curiosity
and steel myself for the blow
sure to come
and revel when it doesn't
and that's exactly what I need.

Oh, a lovely, in the manner of your 'exactly's displacement of psyche, Brian! Ha, this poem could be me...

And, so, it is. Through a Poet's words.

Brian,

Complex, scitzophrenic imagery; but so damn cool! I like the way this progressed--brilliant work!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)

If we could see tomorrow as we saw yesterday today maybe we could change the morrows and live life to the hilt today.
