Such finery
A flagrant coterie of conscience
I asked her:
"Please tell me what to do"
and she said something
that tells me nothing
When in roam,
wander
wonder
and pay more...so much more
Is complacency really a goal?
Or is it a result of having no goals?
I asked her:
"Please tell me what that means to you"
and she said "I don't get it"
and that's telling
I'm a sleeping dog and a dead horse
so stop with the beatings and let me lie
for it is the essence of all my truth
I asked myself:
"Please tell me if anyone is listening"
and they said nothing
and it was deafening
So, to all
I choose battles long over
dig up relics on display
and chastise the clearly shamed
for peace of mind
and piece of history
I asked of you:
"Please tell me your thoughts"
and you didn't
and I was unsure
Still, there was that one time
and it will be again
I asked her:
"Please tell me what that means"
and she said nothing
and that tells me everything

I feel I've found a part of me in you.. in your words
I think this is my favorite of yours so far. I read it last night when I came to post, but held off on commenting because I wanted to read it a few more times this morning. There is the obvious that appeals to me, the questioning. Then there is something else, an almost intimacy about it, hmmmmm for a writer I am at a loss to describe what exactly it is, but its a good thing and makes me want to keep reading this over and over again. With your permission, may I print it?

This is written with real depth and Daaaaaa!'
