How vague the feeling was
How it must have been December
To have handled me thus

How succinct the impression
How it must have been fall
To levy such a lesson

I can cloudless deride
How painful the journey aspires
How showers abide
To strengthen the soul fires

I derisively cloud ablution
How aspiring the pain – slough
How now to summer solution
To love – is it merely enough?

Seasonal pleadings in dim light
Remarkable care in torrential erosion
Reasonable readings from slim sight
Removable fair – intentional implosion

So now to the end of his-tory
The opening of the same
Hang your head in victory
The skies – blue without blame
