I can't wonder why the naked life
within me
leaks out
at each
beleagured
respite
I can't wander through the broken strife
around me
it reeks
of sweet
unrealized
fortune
I don't wonder how the wasted night
beyond here
makes out
as each
lingering
passes
I don't wander 'round a foregone slight
astride here
takes less
to teach
unrequited
reason
Riddles in rhymes
spoken in times
mired in doubt
more in than out
when seen from the side
no secrets can hide
the picture now seen
and the truth to soon glean
