Break it on down Down ‘n down Showin’ me th’ ground Sound for sound The screaming stops And the mind draws taut The splinters of the first fray And the fever is caught Break it on down Down ‘n down Showin’ me th’ sound Bound and bound The soft buzz Of the inevitable losing Drowning out The strength of choosing Break it on down Down ‘n down Showin’ me the bound Unwound unwound Erosion now Like a river’s roar All washed away From a savior’s shore Break it on down Down ‘n down Showin’ me around Round and round Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2006
