I began with trepidation
And meandered toward frustration
Nine of them I pictured
Start with being Fractured
Apoplexy, are you serious?
It’s Disassembly and that’s curious
So I furiously seek Erosion
And in the implosion
End up Destablized
Still, it’s just a Façade
My god!
I don’t know how I can say this without blinking
I went from Entropy to Apogee – what was I thinking?
Sinking
Shrinking
Shouldn’t be drinking
Maybe I’m just pretentious
Contentious
Scared to mention us
Yeah, you
Those of yous who peruse
The reviews
Looking for clues
To diffuse my issues
We end where we began
Naked and frightened
Enlightened
On the shores of an unknown continent
Content with intent
Except…the precept of decept….shun
I haven’t won
Undone
Ho-hum
And we crash
The breakers and the language- brash
We don’t look up at each other
We duck and cover
We look out and see the path (overgrown) that travels away into the unknown
The solo track
Full impact
And we take them
As we can
Each to our own
And my Rebirth is known
To only me

You express a universal (and personal) theme through your verses, Brian. Thank you. Love and peace,

Powerful lines that move back and forth between external commentary and introspective revelation. Through the examinations of self the poet reflects with wisdom on the nature of "others" and delivers a superb write.

Known only to you, but still a terribly fun read. Your language crackles. ~~Nordette

No matter what side of the road we travel there are travails, and rebirth is always a gift, usually known only to ourselves. As always superb poem, Brian!

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
