I'm so angry now and I can't
stop

Betrayal is hard when it's in your face and harder still when it won't
stop

I'm frightened of my own mind and it can
stop

I beg to know who or what I've transgressed against to deserve this pain and the knowledge that it just doesn't
stop

If I'm able to see the sun, and smell the rain when it's on the come, why am I surprised when it fails to
stop?

Why can't I make myself
stop?

When it's all too dear
it's immediately clear
the thing you most fear
will surely appear
to lend you an ear
and flatten your sphere
with an icy hot spear
through the veil of a tear
I rant and I jeer
but can't seem to mere - ly

stop

Is there a lesson here?

Why do you hurt me?

Is it too much to hope that you'll

stop?

Pain is the hardest teacher there is and we do learn a lesson if we're smart about it.
This poem sinks and rides the bottom of pain. It is felt in every word and the passion steers it through.
Susan
