to engineer a nirvana
explode meritoriously
in my face
You talk yourself
in circles and pace the
tracks wearing thin
the premise of empty promises
You can and do know
what your limitations are
and you choose to
embrace them
You view the end
in terms of the beginning
and embrace the chaff
of due process and erosion
the way a child embraces
the tragedy of a lost tooth
We see the scarlet pause
evident in broken words
and upend the fragility
of a tenuous miracle
for the singular
purpose of showing
it can be done
