The wake of war did wane
to the task of remaking
Ramparts raised tall anew
new knights culled from the few
The crown a blade worth taking
Ascended pale Goric
Chiron's eldest son
Power resting in madness
a fever fall of sadness
Logic and reason left undone
From the ruin of Arador
to the faith of sister met
In steel did Aaron trade
and under Dansk he bade
And two sons he would beget
Parsa and Tulan so named
to a mother's bliss they grew
For six winters and one more
Peace survived soft, unsure
A savagery soon to renew
The east birthed the Clear
a mass of gathered wills
Scourge rained upon the throne
fervor of kind before unknown
Madness sounded in dire shrills
The snake, they say, never slept
gathering his hordes to rank
Necromancer and werewolf bred
unspeakable acts unknowable dead
Crimson blood the snake drank
In darkest dawn fair Maya came
with her bowstrings taught
Mute at birth and deadly sharp
Never failing to hit her mark
