I made the grade once I was considered a peer I found the lost answer I turned away from fear I made the most of time I trained my mind to thrive I met the thrust of hardship I was empowered and alive I have faltered since I have become an afterthought I have tried to fill the holes I have forgotten what I sought I look to the sky for nothing I find disregard in every face I clench my fist in anger I slowly fall from grace I make my mind and shatter course with less dignity than before I break my heart on evasive truth and fear that which is in store Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2006

Reads like an intense evaluation of a consciousness in flux between contractions and expansions. The bared-soul raw honesty shines much beauty beyond the syllables of pain.
