Limits and Laments

I can't see you
but you breath
and I can feel you on the wind
siren
screaming

I can't match you
but you relent
and I can sense you in my subtext
plaintive
purposed

I can't shake you
but you tremble
and I can break this fast in time
makeshift
maudlin

I can't sate you
but you pause
and I can mend the little death
resplendent
refreshed
