Solaris

Found you on a distant sun
Burning in disregard
You were effortless
and sovereign

A solar spike of fortuity
and a missed chance
made me shield my eyes
and really see you

Now, through the light years
and the void
of inky revisionist history
there is a glaring eclipse

My memory serves a spear
of redoubt
cloudless in brilliance
and I'm orbiting
