Cold at Heart

The tiny heart beats softly, faintly at the core Muffled by the mounds of frozen waste The tendrils of life all but solid Counting out its last beats Prisms of brilliant light careen in pockets Vaulting through mazes of refraction Seeking an absorption point The darkness to swallow it whole Welcome heat rides waves of light Piercing the stagnant fa�ade Ushering in a crack of violent hope And the blood begins to stir The stuffed silence shudders to swim Memory driving it forward Pushing through reclaiming its legacy And the chilled center resounds once more Copyright: Brian Pellerino 2007

Wow...this is one very moving heartfelt touching write.....as cold as my heart feels right now this one made it pump again dear poet...well done mate!!
