It's a curious thing
when your fears
seem to rally
just when you thought
that you had them beaten back
It's a furious thing
when you know
that something feels wrong
yet it constantly dares you
to call its darkness black
It's a painful thing
when the trust
for your sanity and heart
falls disregarded
broken like china white
It's a tragic thing
when you're sure
how deadly the bite will be
and you take it
dying just a little more each night
