Diving Suitor

I walked down to the edge of reason

and i dipped my toes

the morbid delight of this treason

tickled my breathing nose

 

The fish of blackened memory

dip and dart biting my mood

unloading from their armory

using my pathos as their food

 

Forward into unseen depths

fathom to sickened pressure

makeshift songs unused breaths

wandering sideways in pleasure

 

Abyssal to the icy darkness

rapturous crushing disbelief

inner empty bare starkness

climactic lightless relief

 

I know I live for this feeling

and seek it in all my dives

phantom fish regard me reeling

always dead always alive
