What's all that commotion
going on?
Why does my head spin so?
This new art bent on me
is ever off-putting
even so...
I am for it - for it is for me
fair and just
filled with promise and meaning
More than me
and less than true keening
Still, how do I hold
to it,
when it is alien and stark
void of pretense?
So wary in essence
am I
in lowering defense
When thy true face is
revealed
cunning and fair
to look upon me,
do I dare look away
or gaze back at thee?
