You and Larry Lounsbury (who's book I bought) have a lot in common for me; yet your journey is so personal it seems to cross lifetimes; I don't know if you believe in reincarnation or if it even matters, but I sense you been a Warrior in this pursuit of truth and the tough love of God for a very long time; building incredible strength; now it is time for your soul's reward... keep on in the light you see. It is there.

"Angel of Hope's Persistent Flight" should be an anthem of hope, knowing in faith, God will always be a step ahead!

Flashes of the political year in "Angel of Hope's Persistent Flight" make a picture of the collective deafness and blindness.

The opining:

"Wreaths of nuclear ash
decorate civilian hearts
with unresolved blood."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> lead the flashes of revelation to the closing one, which is the mirror of their painting:

"Death wins nothing here,
gnawing wings that amputate––
then spread, lift up, fly."

I have learned through the lines of "Angel of Hope's Persistent Flight".

I salute You, Poet.

I gratitude and admiration,

the tone and tempermant of this poem simultaneously captures a sense of disengagement and belonging ... your verses are like waves of analytical balance, ebbing and flowing like a tide of inspired percision ... the shores of your inquiring heart stretch into the distance of the human condition, questioning and assessing the validity of existence and the role or lack of, divine interaction ... death is not even the victor where "Wreaths of nuclear ash decorate civilian hearts with unresolved blood" ... as one immmerses oneself into the power of your words, a glimmer of hope surfaces: love binding the geometical heaven transcending the confines of time and space, we have mementarily found ourselves bound within ... for humanity's sake, i hope it realizes the convictions of your insight ...

a poem that was a pleasure to become part of ...

I love your quote and your poem, Aberjhani. I will add another quote and attempt to make a connection to your words.

“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.”~Douglas MacArthur.

It is not the soldier who is to blame for war, he/she wants only peace, as you well know. It is our own individual greed and man's lust for control and power that has created the situation that plagues our world. We are each responsible for this and until we each accept that responsibility and decide that we must be responsible for the change, we will continue as we are and continue to point our fingers at others. The power of change is in the hands of the people and it has always been so. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Take care,

Sherry

No wonder the writer urges us to 'look up for our redemption draweth near.'
What a stark contrast using vidid, and remarkable imagery, you have captured between an increasingly hostile and decaying world, and an untainted by man's hand heaven.
A revelation indeed.

"Angel of Hope's Persistent Flight"

Bravo, a penning well worth it's weight in gold _Aberjhani.

Sadly, these images depicted here are all too prevalent these days. Like a moth drawn to a flame belief "then spread, lift up, fly" we can save ourselves. By the heartstrings the last three lines soared me straight to the moon.

However throughout all battles seen and unforeseen perhaps the faith of a mere mustard seed is all that is needed for victory. Cheers to you for our upcoming holiday season may your heart's burden rest and be renewed for a fun filled year of burgeoning creativity!

Sincerely,
From the Heart of an Artist Quiet Storm

Author/Poet Aberjhani ...

The fluctuations and mutabilities of living oft leave one rudderless in a Sargasso Sea of apathy and discontent. The alternation, in this ever changing civilization, from one condition to another, creates antipathy and alienation. People are in desperate need of stability and the love and support of their fellow man.

The threat of leviathan always looming above ones head creates a tension that many escape into alcohol and drugs because of. Your image of Gods love as a figure eight is intriguing, in light of the fact that eight - spiritually - is a number of new beginnings.

Tracing the eight with the finger we find that it always comes back to where it started; giving this seeker the impression that God always returns to His creation to restructure, cleanse, and begin over again.

A profound write from a gifted artistic mind.

Light and Wisdom ...

The last three stanzas absolutely take my breath away. Says so much about the nature of faith to transport us through the doorway of the unseen becoming so much more absolute and concrete than the seen. In my near-death experience, I found that the more the material was ebbing away, the more the spiritual was becoming real. And I think I now live my life here on that understanding. Pain is real but, I guess there comes a point when it just can't be felt anymore... then the wings of faith take over... And this wonderful poem takes us there. Vivid and intense. Mindblowing stuff as ever, and as true a picture of the Angel of Hope as there could ever be. Hope can never give up on itself. My love and Christmas greetings to you and those you love and pray for at this special time. Keep lighting our paths in the coming year. K xx
