I write to cast a light
on the architects of the American Dream
I grab them by the neck
shake the injustice out of their thick, capitalistic skulls
I live in an occupied country
You won't find me testifying
against my collegues
The critics are as blind as McCarthy
Yesterday I was the greatest living playwright
Today I'm a "has-been"
My plays are poetry
You have no souls, no respect
for the struggle for liberty
