Evan, the fiddle calls us to dance... Even the moon, her party dress bleached white from the blueing, has come out starched and stretched wide across the sky I don't want to shut my eyes 'cept to drown in your shoulder and weave love between the strings, in time with the bow's pleas It's pleading pulls at my heart, just like the moan of the train at dusk, an empty traveling hobo on the tracks Evan, hold me close, the fiddle calls us to dance...
