This is the 3rd of your poems I've read in this sitting, Linda... and I'm ready to say we have a sort of kinship, and it feels lovely.
Ireland is a passion with me... was there in 2002, a dream come true. You so exemplify the nature and the honest and bold truth-telling I encounted while making friends in all corners of that mystical and brave landscape.
"Music is my crown, and language the complement of my soul." LInda, that's the sort of line I wish I'd written... line after line of this precious read touches deeply. Your poetry is most enchanting, so very real, yet has the unique spirit all good poetry needs. katy xox
Although rooted in a different part of Europe, my tree is of Celt (if not Irish) origin, so there certainly is a vast affinity with the essence of this beautiful, musical poem. "I am born of soil and sea and reach for the stars"... yes!
