Earthbound
heavy hearted with weight
Pressed to the ground
I breathe bitter air
that contracts my soul
The white eye's glare-
sour milk-
in which I drown daily
Gasping for air and gulping
the emptiness down
as the world intrudes again
The pressured universe inside me implodes
bursting inward
violently compressed
I shudder in the quiet vacuum
Wonder at my existence
As the tiny spark of light within
silently forms a luminous presence
visible for light years to come...
Introspective in some parts, and shining in others. a lot of emotion in this work Linda. So, stay with the light, and let it make you glad that your are a woman, cause there is nothing brighter that shines, than the soul of a woman.
