Not convinced that scenes of confrontation are actually the most effective for massaging the minds of those whose minds need to be "educated"!? Peaceful - that is not to say, passive - is perhaps the more engaging route. And I think it is a question of "keeping on keeping on" by a process of attrition and osmosis, knowing that gradually, over time, minds and hearts can be changed as they continue to reason for themselves what is what... perhaps writers have a major role in assisting in that process? Sorry to warble... have probably missed your point and your irony altogether, but at least my old grey matter is attempting a response to your proposition! :)) TY Kate xx

it's too bad people these days have settled for fat diabetic comfort, rationalized apathy, or immoral cowardice. i think, these days, a writer venting is the best we're gonna get, until things get so bad, the spine of society will snap, and either change, or commit suiciety. who knows, maybe it will start with something as simple as "there once was a man from nantucket..."
