Our spirit flies in muted language
Vibration hums on sacred chords
Born in all of us, slender strings
Which pull us through time
We resist and then surrender
to pleads from the bow of love
The highest love we are wary to trust
The music is irresistable
The beat of our heart's rhythm
The warm pulse in our fingertips
Born of the same carbon of stars
This is life--our soul's remembering
The heart sees what the mind hears
The eyes bear witness to the joy
That all of nature in turn reveals
Our spirit flies in vaulted rooms
That the darkness cannot touch
Where even the corners hold light
Light pain cannot dull nor death deny
A flute sings gold through the canyon
We mine with trembling hands
Mindful of the Creator
The sand crystals born before time
A single grain contains eons of music
We walk in wonder as earth remembers
The Creator stands on these mountains
The Creator rests in these valleys
We stand on these mountains of joy
We rest in these valleys of sorrow
Your Mother the earth remembers
Stunning and sublime! So wish I wrote it!! This has such tangible qualities that I feel as though I could hold it in my hands - and yet is as ethereal and enigmatic as the wind. Some spectacular lines: "Our spirit flies in vaulted rooms That the darkness cannot touch Where even the corners hold light Light pain cannot dull nor death decay". Superbe, thank you Kate xx
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Perhaps "..Quiet Storm" will help rekindle old flames buried and long forgotten or express the love so deeply locked inside of your soul longing to be released.
Regardless of where you may be found in love this beautiful masterpiece can be
Your poetic pen is mighty ... superb write!!

No wonder we poets see so much of it in His creations.
A fine poem, Linda!
