Even unanswered prayer forms our world and changes its contours It is our gift to each other and our connection to God When we are in doubt It gives us words we can't mouth When we hurt It soothes the edge of our pain It is the light in the dark The shape in the void The breath of conciousness which makes us human and divine A remnant of our fall from grace Prayer is thought given wings to heaven (c)Linda Gayton 2005
