So true, we are all guilty save the children, guilty of being misled by all the powers and forces of the world and the heavens because we are too afraid to try to lead ourselves individually. If we judge OURSELVES accordingly then we have no time to judge others. So many people waste their lives with condemnation; never realizing that they are only bringing condemnation on themselves. The Christ was nailed to a tree in innocence; judged and condemned by those who "thought" they were right in doing what they done. The Apostle Paul who penned 2/3rds of the New Testament was a firm believer that he was "doing the right thing" as a service and out of Love for God... that was of course until he ran smack dab into the Son of Light Himself who changed his opinions. Then Saul became Paul and the zealous heart for righteousness was accounted to him.

I hate to be the nay sayer here but some of the reviews forget that the Messiah is quoted in Matthew 5:38 as saying,

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth: BUT I SAY - That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also." KJV 1611

I think your statement above sums up many of the wars waged by mankind through the ages, and most of them have been fueled by religious zealots, convinced that their religion is the superior one. And I often wonder what God thinks of our utter foolishness.

Amen! A much needed write in the atmosphere of our present culture Lin! Though dark and troubling, it is necessary to use truth when we see so much negativity. We who proclaim to be followers of the one we say is LOVE, have no business to continue to spread hate! Surely we can all fall into the trap when we see some of the situations that breed hate in the world, but we must always return to our sensibilities and spread the love we know is the only way to destroy hatred! We become what we speak...Thank you Lin a fine thoughtful offering!

Have not the slightest idea what you are writing about. If it is man's inhumanity to man, then you are right about the rage which fuels the atrocities. If you are speaking of THE WAR, I say that if someone walkes up and plants an overhand right fist on my cheek, I will NOT turn the other one.
