What do I seek,
is it the quality of air,
a mind storm of kinetic energy

or spontaneous combustion
  in a slow burn
      to ash

or both
  the spirit oxygen
    feeding mutable fire?

Would I want the solidity
  and warmth of wood,
    strong fibers that hold fast
      but expand & contract
        allowing absorption?

Maybe a magnetic force
  of metal-to-metal friction
    that torches holes
      in my resistance?

Could it be a merge
  into liquid, two drops
    one ripple in the universe

or a nuclear meltdown
  my
    body
      reduced
        to
         dust?

Perhaps it is an implosion of positive conjoined spirit and emotion that rocks us into that stary-eyed moment when we feel the melt-down of all defenses and allow soul to molecularly transfe into another and they into us? Whatever it is, you have drawn some amazing images for us.
Take care,
Sherry

I'd shoot for the whole shebang. Even if you only get some of what you desire, it is still better than nothing at all. And if you get it all, well then take a bow for reaching Earthly Nirvana. ~ Sara

Maybe thats all any of us can hope for, to make one small ripple in the universe. that exists completely separate of our lives. You have such insight! Pierre.

the combustion of your creativity seldom disappoints ...

"I want the solidity
and warmth of wood ..."

now that's a fiery image ...

the feel, imagery and atmosphere of this poem is tantalizing ...
