Poem Artwork

I etch hard life into soft metal,
seeking form from vision

Are thoughts like this
until given shape by the hand?

The plate is rubbed with ink,
something akin to blood
and pressed onto paper

Such are words from the pen

What is this compulsion
that flows in our veins?

I was told
the dimple in my chin
is "God's thumbprint",
the sculptor's mark

This from the Gaelic,
the romantically divine

Just how much have our thoughts, and feelings been shaped by the written, and spoken word? Intelligent and interesting. Pierre.

"What is this compulsion
That flows in our veins?"

I think every volume ever written had the silken threads of this question running through the fabric of what it was.

Who really can answer this with any satisfaction?

Beautiful!

Being "marked" is a blessing from God I'm told. Like talent for writing or art and music .a All are blessing we are trusted with by our Creator. Great pen...you've been blessed
