I was ridiculed for writing a poem about angels. There is no need to humiliate someone whose beliefs don't mirror your own. Simply move on.
When the physical plane around you dissolves and the floor beneath you gives way to terror, I hope that the ivory tower where you reside leaves some stones for you to cling to. Up to now your bitterness has kept you strong. Maybe it's a mask for the vulnerability you feel? Though it be unappreciated, I’ll say a prayer for you to the angels you so sarcastically deride. L.G. I agree with you. Sadly people often deny and attack things and people they do not understand. Sometimes in self denial, sometimes out of fear and sometimes out of plain stupidity. I have been ridiculed before about my believes in some things or lack of believe in others but I can only shake my head and walk away...they are not worth the argument. Well said Lin...

I know of whom you speak. He inspires scornful pity at times. You dealt with it well here. "your bitterness has kept you strong" is spot-on. Praying for those who provoke you is something I do myself. It works very well. r

Such a classic example of "turning the other cheek" and choosing compassion. Some people are hard to comprehend, many do not know what love is and even less how to express it. Love, peace, and best wishes to you, Lin.

P.S. I believe in angels. They have saved me on a lot more than a single occasion, even from my own self.
