i've had this toothache for 2 days, now. i'd rather be getting stabbed in the forehead.
it's like that the way it comes down like a bolt of white hot sweat spreading from the medulla to the ass a grey burning wolf tearing the face from a legless hermit tied to a tree it gets my face wrapped around my ribs sliding blue pictureshows etched in bloody quartz across the lace of my eyes jesus jesus jesus! and more of the same throw in sweaty little buddha and an allah! in for good measure driving across town wondering if there's a shorter way to get home wondering if anyone will care if i plowed through the high school girls crossing against the green it gets like that when the wave comes back here it comes now boiling from eyes and slowly a scream claws and rips its way from my throat filling the van and escaping from the windows she comes over and knocks on the window "hey, mister, you okay?" she asks with genuine concern i nod yes and wave her off only three blocks until home until i have the pills in hand until i knock myself out with an unhealthy dose of percocet i thought about my daughter getting on my nerves earlier and my brother getting on my nerves and my girlfriend getting on my nerves and her dog getting on my nerves and the concerned girl and my daughter's teacher and everyone everywhere anywhere and i realized that's a lot of nerves they must all be entangled with the nerve under my tooth and i settled into the lazyboy bathed in the slightly nauseous comfort of percocet and marijuana and i sang myself to sleep with a lilting chorus of "f*** all this..."
Damn, man, and I thought I knew pain. Pain is so familiarin my life (fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis), I'd be surprised if I had a day without it. This one hurts to read...but is spot ON!
Boy do I know where you are coming from...I finally got dental insurance, and use it immediately, though i hate dentists...and pot just seems to intensify the pain to me...Ed
Lol! How do you do this? The best damn description of the pain of what I beleive to be an abcessed tooth that I've ever read or heard. It is true agony. The form of this write parallels the waves of pain that accompany it. "...a lot of nerves...they must all be entangled with the nerve under my tooth"--love that. "yeah, it's like that", a kicker last line of understatement...Lin
