I took a journey into the hills, And when I spied their beauty rare, Up my spine did come the chills. I saw the steep, rocky cliffs, And the grassy rolling meadows, But the pine trees growing from the side, Was a breathtaking abide.
Then I saw a tiny waterfall, Trickling from above, That fell down into a tiny river, And through hill and dale, it did seep, Then ran into the ocean deep. Oh twas indeed a sight, My journey into the hills that night.
In my journey that I took, I could write a book, About all the flora and fauna, That grew beside this tiny brook.
